How do I consign my items?
We are looking for items in excellent condition. Email us at stomp@thecuratedhomeindiana.com with pictures of the items you would like to consign. Please make sure the pictures are clear with proper lighting. Items need to be clean and smoke-free. (No dust, cobwebs, etc.) Any items with damage will be refused. We cannot accept upholstered items with pet hair or odor. Item drop off will be scheduled at time of acceptance. We do not do pickups.
What are the consignment terms?
We consign for 90 days, offering a 50/50 split of whatever the item sells for. Items are marked down 10% every 30 days , up to 30%. If items do not sell by the 90-day term expiration date, you will have 14 days to arrange pick up of the item. Unsold items not picked up within 14 days of the end of consignment will become property of the store and may be donated or discounted at The Curated Home's discretion.
How do we determine the sell price for your items?
The Curated Home will use our consignment connections, market research and our experience to determine the best price for your items. A good rule of thumb is half of what it would cost to buy brand new today in some cases. We are not appraisers.
When are your items available for sale?
We do our best to get all items out as soon as space is available. The 90-day consignment period does not start until the item has reached the sales floor. This could result in different start and end dates for items received on the same day.
How are sales communicated?
It is the consignee's responsibility to check on the status of your items and your account balance each month. The Curated Home will not notify you if your items have sold or a potential account balance. We will only notify you if your item has not sold and is returning to you.
When and how do I get paid?
We will provide a check for balances over $25.00 on the 10th of the month for items that sold the previous month. Checks will be available to pick up at the store. Your credits can also be applied to store purchases.
